“When design connects people, technology completes the emotion.”
Seoul Design Festival 2024 (Nov 13–17, COEX) lived up to its name as a showcase of design’s power. At the exhibition, WITIVE presented a new kind of networking experience centered on CONNECT’s digital business card— with the Daejeon limited “DreamSee Family” NFC cards at the heart of it.
DreamSee Family — Linking Local Identity and Emotion
The highlight was the Daejeon-limited DreamSee Family NFC card giveaway. DreamSee Family is the loved family of Daejeon’s iconic characters, Kumdori & Kumsuni, a warm symbol of the region. Once a symbol of an earlier generation, these characters have re-emerged among younger audiences with a “retro” appeal.
In tune with this cultural current, CONNECT tried a new blend: “local emotion + tech platform.” Through NFC cards, DreamSee Family becomes not just characters, but a medium that connects people.
1,500 New Members — The Power of “Limited Edition”
Long lines formed daily at the CONNECT booth across the five-day show. We onboarded 1,500+ new members who experienced the appeal of NFC cards and digital networking firsthand. Comments like “This card is so cute” and “Wait, I can use this as my card?” captured the mood on the floor.
Our team helped attendees register cards, create profiles, and make connections on-site every day. That “one-tap to start a conversation” moment perfectly embodied the harmony of design and technology.
CONNECT, Speaking the Language of Design
The show proved CONNECT is more than an IT service— it is a platform that designs the brand experience itself. A business card is not just information; it can become a designed object that expresses who you are.
CONNECT’s NFC cards sit at the intersection of Tech + Art + Local. Technology links emotion; locality links people; and design sits at the center of every connection.
“We’re Not Making Just a Card — We’re Building Human Connections.”
CONNECT is a business SNS that uses cards as a medium. We design for continuity, not just exchange. A world where relationships continue even without paper cards— that is the future we envision.
This limited edition extends that philosophy: characters make us memorable, design starts conversations, and technology carries relationships forward— our idea of “design and technology in coexistence.”
Seoul Design Festival—and the Road Ahead for CONNECT
The festival reaffirmed our belief: CONNECT is not just a platform— it’s a language of connection linking people and brands, regions and generations, past and future.
Next year, we will collaborate with more local characters, artists, and designers, expanding CONNECT into a cultural platform. We’re committed to people-centered design networking—that’s our direction.
