“CONNECT began local—now we’re heading global.”
Daejeon Contents Fair 2024 showcased the potential of the region’s cultural industry. At Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) Hall 2, WITIVE presented CONNECT’s vision and brand philosophy directly to citizens. More than a showcase, it marked the moment when CONNECT’s global expansion truly began.
Limited DreamSee Family NFC Cards — A Symbol of Daejeon
At our booth, we gave away limited DreamSee Family NFC cards. DreamSee Family—relatives of Daejeon’s icons, Kumdori & Kumsuni— drew strong attention as characters carrying local identity and sentiment. Visitors tapped the NFC cards with their phones, created CONNECT profiles, and experienced a new “digital business card” culture.
Over the exhibition, we onboarded about 300 new members, and foot traffic continued all day. With the “Daejeon Limited” tag, the cards quickly exceeded the prepared quantity.
First Step Toward Japan — MOU with ASAHI FOOD
A key outcome was an MOU for CONNECT’s entry into Japan. WITIVE formally signed a business agreement for launching CONNECT in Japan with a director of the Korean Traders Association in Japan, who is also the CEO of ASAHI FOOD.
We discussed opening CONNECT first to the Korean community in Japan, then expanding to local companies and institutions. This agreement marks CONNECT’s path toward a global business networking platform and a meaningful case of a Korea-based tech startup entering overseas markets.
CONNECT “Local to Global” — Our Expansion Vision
People and regions have always been our starting point. Through exhibitions in Daejeon, Seoul, and across Korea, we’ve iterated on the technology that connects relationships beyond business cards—and now the stage is overseas.
With this MOU, we will pilot CONNECT within the Korean community in Japan, then expand to local SMBs, startups, and designer communities. Rather than just market entry, we aim to build a networking ecosystem rooted in cultural connection.
“Born in Daejeon—Growing for the World.”
The fair held special meaning: it’s the city where our technology was born, and the starting line of its journey to the world. This exhibition allowed us to weave the region’s symbol (DreamSee Family) and our global vision (Japan entry) into one story.
CONNECT will continue evolving into a global networking hub that links people to people, cities to cities, and nations to nations.
